Well, if Stephen Hawking is gifted and smart, why does he need a wheelchair?
We are all good at some things and bad at others.
I am good at feeling the divine presence all around me. I am weak against certain kinds of thoughts and instinctive worries.
If medication can help against what I am weak against, than why not accept the help, just like Stephen Hawking?
After all, if I could give other people my gift of being able to feel the beautiful divine presence all around me, I would.
Why should I turn down the gift of helping me against what I am weak against?
Just make sure that the medication is treating something that needs treating, like anxiety.
The hyperactivity of a person with ADHD does not need treatment, and should not be treated.
This is not a curse. This is your superpower.
Simply find something constructive that you love to do with that hyperactivity.
But it's okay to accept help against things like depression and anxiety.
Just to tell you- medication helps sometimes Meditation- with a 't', as in Buddhist meditation- always helps.
God loves you!
Sincerely,
David S. Annderson
