  • The Monroe Doctrine took place on December 2, 1823. Created by James Monroe, who was the fifth president of the United States. The doctrine was created for any interventions by external powers in politics of America is a potentially hostile act against the U.S. The Doctrine had only three main purposes. One to separate spheres of influence for Americans and Europe, Two non-colonization, and Three a non-intervention. The Monroe's declaration was not known until 30 years afterwards. The U.S. was not powerful enough to enforce the doctrine.
