Key Events

The Peace Conference at Versailles led to a few major events after the end of World War II. During the conference, the Treaty of Versailles was created. This treaty was thought of so it would officiate the compromises that were reached during the conference. On of the compromises was the formation of the League of Nations. The plan to form the League of Nations was to serve as an international meeting place. It was also thought of as an international security arrangement. President Woodrow Wilson thought the League of Nations could prevent future wars. The League of Nations was instituted later in 1919.
