George Washington - Monroe Doctrine

Monroe Doctrine “December 2, 1823” was the cornerstone of the U.S foreign policy by president James Monroe. It was a message to congress; stating that the old and new world will always have different systems.

Monroe Doctrine 4 points:

  1. The United States can not interfere with the wars between European powers

  2. The U.S will recognize and not interfere with already know colonies in the Western Hampshire

  3. Western Hampshire is closed for any future colonization

  4. By any mean no European powers were to oppress control over any nation
