Key Figures

These key figures represent those who were involved in the War of 1812. The figures include Presidents, Commanders of the British forces and Royal Navy. Along with the lawyers who happened to be forced to be involved by the British. The key figures were a part of the change of the U.S. and the world. Changing the lives of the Native Americans, Americans and Canadians.

Andrew Jackson - Major General in the U.S. Army. Also known as "Old Hickory" and was a very well known for his victory versus Creek Indians.

Isaac Brock - Commanded the British forces when they were invading the Canadians.

James Madison - He declared the war against Great Britain, after continuing the aggressive trade even when Britain tried to stop them.

Thomas Cochrane - Commanded the Royal Navy and was a British Commander.

Thomas Jefferson - His involvement was developing an retaliating attack to strengthen the American forces.

Francis Scott Key - A lawyer who was taken into custody by the British after noticing the American flag remain on Fort McHenry.

John E Wool - Officer of the 13th Infantry and was able to lead the men to gain victory from British and captured the redan guns for their benefits.

Tecumseh - Joined to help support the British side during war and became an important figure next to Major-General Isaac Brock.

James Miller - He was the Lieutenant Colonel and was head of the 4th Regiment of U.S..
