Timeline

January 8th, 1918 - In an adress to the United States congress, President Woodrow Wilson of the United States had outlined a peace program which included a speech of fourteen important points in navigating world peace.

January 16th, 1918 - After WWI, living conditions in Vienna, Austria deteriorated and results in numerous strikes and labor demands.

January 28th - February 3rd, 1918 - Living conditions in Berlin, Germany had declined and several strikes had broke out. This disaster is the cause of the total war economic breakdown and the Allied bockade.

January 18th - June 28th, 1919 - The Versailles Peace Conference formally opened in Paris with 70 delegates from 27 countries. Defeated countries in World War I are excluded from the conference.

June 28th, 1919 - The Treaty of Versailles was signed.

January 10th, 1920 - Official opening of the League of Nations. Members of the League included Australia, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, the British Empire, Canada, Chile, Czechoslovakia, France, Guatemala, India, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Paraguay, Persia (Iran), Peru, Poland, Siam (Thailand), South Africa, Spain, and Uruguay.

January 16th, 1920 - The League of Nations Council met for its first session in Paris.

February 11th - 12th, 1920 - The League of Nations Council met for its second session in London.

March 10th, 1920 - Egyptian Legislative assembly passed a resolution demanding independence from Britain.

June 4th, 1920 - Treaty of Trianon.

August 31st, 1923 - International Conference on Obscene Publications, Geneva.

December 14th, 1925 - Transfer of the Locarno Agreements to the Archives of the League.

May 18th, 1926 - First meeting of the Preparatory Disarmament Commision, Geneva.

May 4th - 23rd, 1927 - International Economic Conference.

September 26th, 1927 - The 18th Assembly adopts the General Act for the Pacific Settlement of International Disputes.

March 16th - 30th, 1931 - European Conference for limiting the Manufacture and Regulating the Distribution of Narcotic Drugs.

September 26th, 1931 - The Assembly adopts a General Convention to Improve the Means of Preventing War.

June 12th, 1933 - World Monetary and Economic Conference, London.

July 4th, 1936 - The Assembly recommends that the Council should invite Governments to send in Proposals for Improving the Application of the Principles of the Covenant.

July 5th - 9th, 1937 - Second General Conference of National Committees on Intellectual Co-operation, Paris.

March 21st, 1938 - Declaration by the Federal Council concerning the neutrality and independence of Switzerland.

April 18th, 1946 - The League transfers of all its assets to the United Nations. Contract signed by W. Moderow.
