U.S. Role in Creating the United Nations (UN)

The U.S. played a huge leadership role in creating the United Nations. Out of the ashes of the failed League of Nations, we created the United Nations to protect our people and our country. The United Nations was a reason for avoiding a second WW. President Roosevelt saw how important the League of Nations was during WWII and knew that another program of that same purpose was needed. Other important key figures were responsible behind this great organization. Many key events lead to the creation of the UN. The UN did not just leave affects on the United States and our government but it also left affects on the world. The United Nations lead to many related events in history. Isn't it amazing that an organization focused on peace between different countries began from our own great country!
