Ending of WW1

The war ended with the Treaty of Versailles. Germany had formally surrendered on November 11, 1918. They realized that they weren’t going to win the War because of the failed plans such as ones in 1914, and 1916. They were also damaged from the current to-date war and realized that they are going to lose. Germany had started to lose the Battle of Somme and the German Navy went on strike and refused to further fight. German military leaders were telling German government to stop the war and surrender but they didn’t do so until November 11, 1918. Later, on June 28, 1919 Germany and the Allied Nations signed the Treaty of Versailles (ending the war). The Treaty of Versailles imposed very rigid restrictions set against Germany limited.
