Warsaw Pact

The Warsaw Pact was a response to the creation of NATO. This pact consisted of the communist countries involved in World War 2 such as the USSR, Albania, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, East Germany, Hungary, Poland, and Romania. The pact was even more a response to NATO letting West Germany join in 1955. Soviet leaders felt very strongly about the idea of letting Germany have military power again and this fear was shared by everyone not just the west European countries.
