The Roosevelt Corollary was in addition to the Monroe Doctrine. While the Monroe Doctrine involved European countries staying out of Latin America, the Roosevelt Corollary gave the right to use military force to do so. The Roosevelt Corollary and the Monroe Doctrine covered the countries of Cube, Nicaragua, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic.
