How it Affected the United States

The United States was affected by the Spanish American War in many ways. One of the ways was that once they won the United States now owned Cuba, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the Philippines. The United States did not want to be like many of the other powerful country and take away other countries independence so we were having conflicts within the United States based on what to do with the other countries.
