The Korean War

Background:

World War II separated Korea into a Communist, northern half and an American-involved southern half, partitioned at the 38th parallel. On Sunday, June 25, 1950 the Korean War (1950-1953), started when the North Korean Communist armed force crossed the 38th Parallel and attacked non-Communist South Korea. This marked the primary stand off of the Cold War. A time of outrageous strain between the United States and the Soviet Union that brought about an atomic war. Many people today don't recall of this war and this is the reason why it is called "The forgotten war". This war was a disgrace since it was not something to be overlooked. Almost 3 million American, British, Chinese, and Korean lives were lost in this conflict. Also, Helicopters turned into the most up to date weapon that changed the way wars were battled.
