The treaty of Versailles is what ended the WWI. The Paris Peace Conference occurred on January 1919 at Versailles right outside Paris. The conference was held because it was to establish the peace after the tragedies of World War I. About thirty nations contributed with the document, and the legislatures of the United Kingdom, France, the United States, and Italy butted heads and became known as the “Big Four.” The “Big Four” ruled over the proceedings that leads up to the Treaty of Versailles.
