League of Nations

The League of Nations began after World War I. The purpose of it was to ensure that there was never another break out of a world war again. The League of Nations started in Geneva, Switzerland due to the fact that it was a neutral country. If a dispute did occur, the league could do three things, which were calling on the countries in dispute to discuss their differences in an orderly way, warning an agressor nation to leave another country's territories, or if all else fails, they could get the intruders out by military force. The League of Nations relates to U.S. foreign policy because the whole organization was created to keep peace between all countries.
