The UN had more peacekeeping missions around the world. There was one in Rwanda in Oct. 1993-Mar. 1996. It was called UNAMIR and it was established to help implement the Arusha Peace Agreement. UNAMIR was established by Security Council on October 5th, 1993. Its mandate was to assist in ensuring the security of the capital city of Kigali. The mandate was occasionally adjusted because of genocides and the country's changing situation. UNAMIR's mandate ended March 8th, 1996.
