There were 11 generals in all during the War of 1812. Jacob Brown, Andrew Jackson, and Gordon Drummond were the major generals and officers during this war. Jacob Brown was an American army officer in the War of 1812. Andrew Jackson is the only president who served in both the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812. Gordon Drummond, or GCB,was the first Canadian-born officer to command the military and the civil government of Canada.
