How it affected the U.S

The Declaration of Independence is know to be today as The United States of America. The Declaration of Independence is all about giving the citizens their rights and protection that they need. This event was to give everyone Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness, also know today to be the Bill Of Rights and the Constitution. This affects us all because if we were to never have the Declaration of Independence, we wouldn't have our rights, we wouldn't be equal, we wouldn't be able to live life. The Declaration is basically a big summary of what the Bill Of Rights stands for. A famous phrase is, " We had these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal..."
