The Monroe Doctrine Pt. 2

The Monroe Doctrine was a message from the President James Monroe to European powers that warned them not to interfere with the life of Americans and the affairs of the Western Hemisphere. Not only was it a message to the European powers, but it was also invoked when Soviet Union started building missile launching sites in Cuba. The message was sent on December 2, 1823. This also ended up becoming a cornerstone of American foreign policy.
