The War of 1812

The War of 1812, also known as "The Forgotten War", was fought between the United States and United Kingdom as well as against Ireland and other North American colonies. Although this war only lasted 2 years, it settled many of the issues that were unresolved in the American War of Independence. It began on June 18, 1812 and ended February 18, 1815. The Treaty of Ghent was a result of the war.
