The Declaration of Independence

On July 4, 1776, written by Thomas Jefferson, The Declaration Of Independence came to be and had made a historical event . The Declaration Of Independence is what lead up to The Bill Of Rights and The Constitution. Its what gave all citizens their right, and no one can take it away from them. All men are to be equal and be treated fair just as everybody else. The Declaration explains why the colonies should be broken, so that it could become independent. The Declaration is still important because it says the American people believe in equal rights for all. Today we know that the words “all men are created equal” include everyone: women, men, children, and every race.
