The Lend Lease Act

The Lend Lease act was proposed in late 1940 and passed in March 1941. This act stated that the president can ship weapons, food, and equipment to any country whose defense deem vital to the defense of the United States. The countries that received aid from the U.S. were Britain, The Soviet Union, China, and Brazil. The act also permitted the United States to support its war interests without being overextended in the battle.
