Korea divided between North and South-September 1945: The Soviet remained having a presence in North Korea while American troops were in the South. A temporary border at the 38th parallel is established.
North Korea invades South Korea-June, 24th 1950: It is debated whether or not Joseph Stalin(dictator of communist Russia) approved this attack or not.
U.S. troops invaded Inchon(city in North Korea)-September, 15 1950: A surprise landing attack behind enemy lines, the U.S. pushes North Korea's army back north of the 38th Parallel.
Negotiations begin at Panmunjom-July 1951: Negotiations go on until 1953, where a DMZ(demilitarized zone) is established on each side of the 38th Parallel.
Armistice formally re-established the division of Korea-March 1953: A formal peace treaty was never signed. Over 1,000,00 Koreans and 54,000 Americans killed during the conflict and thousands more dies as prioners of war.
