The Battle of Lexington and Concord

Fought on April 19th, 1775, The Battle of Lexington and Concord was the first battle to kick off The American Revolution. The night before the battle had commenced hundreds of British troops had marched from the city of Boston to nearby Concord to seize a rumored weapons cache that the Colonist had. People such as Paul Revere rode through the streets at night to warn the towns people of the attack and they had then intercepted the British soldiers before reaching the weapons cache. in the end of the battle only nine of the Colonists dead and one Redcoat (also known as the British soldiers) injured. To this day no one knows who shot first whether it be the Redcoats or the Colonists, even professional historians do not know who started The American Revolution.
