Philippine Revolution

Background Information.

The Philippine Revolution began in August 1896, when Spanish authorities discovered that an anti-colonial secret organization which was let by Andres Bonifacio who establishing a liberationist movement. Their goal was independence from Spain through head to head war. The United States navy defeated the Spanish in battle of Malian Bay effectively sizing control of Malian Bay. On February 4, 1899, in the Battle of Manila, fight broke out between the Filipino and American forces, beginning the Philippine–American War. It is related to foreign policy because America was involved in war outside it's border.
