Leading up to the Revolutionary War

For more than a decade before the American Revolutionary War tensions had been growing between colonists and British authorities.

Many great changes and events happened leading up to the War.

For example the Stamp Act of 1765, it was passed March 22, 1765 by the British Parliament. New tax was imposed to all the American colonists that required them to pay every piece of printed paper they used.

The Tea Act of 1773, passed May 10, 1773 a British law designed to bail out British East India Company expanding the companies monopoly on the tea trade, selling excess tea at a reduced price.

And the Boston Massacre, occurred March 5, 1770 British soldiers opened fire on a group of American colonists killing five men.
