US Involved In WWII

Between 1936 and 1937, President Roosevelt passed the Neutrality Act. This act does not let the U.S. sail on ships and wave the flag belligerent nation or trade arms with warring nations, potential causes for U.S. entry into war. On September 1,1939 the president told the American people that he will do everything in his power to avoid getting into the war. However he also quoted "When peace has been broken anywhere, the peace of all countries everywhere is in danger. " On the other hand we were helping out those who were in the war until December 7, 1941 when Japan decided to bomb Pearl Harbor. During the final stages of the war in 1945, the U.S. conducted atomic bombing for two cities in Japan ( Hiroshima and Nagasaki ). This war was a big event in the timeline of the United States.
