League of Nations

Background

The League of Nations was in essence, intended to create international peace. It was created after World War I and its purpose was to prevent another war from breaking out. League of Nations consisted of fourteen points that would solve the problems of World War I. President Woodrow Wilson was the person who thought up the idea of the League of Nations, hoping that America would support it and become the backbone of his idea. However, this was not case; the Treaty of Versailles required the League members to come to the defense of any allied member under attack. Due to lack of organizations and other factors, the League of Nations failed.
