Foreign Policy

For obvious reasons, the Iraq war had a negative impact on the foreign policy. This is because the issue was with a foreign nation. There were terrorist attacks, and war with Iraq. So obviously, the foreign policy would be more strict towards them. Their position with the Iraq nation has weakened. American civilians were more distant and acted differently towards people who had an Iraq background. One of the main things was the terrorist attack on the twin towers, which made people fear them more. People from Iraq background were put under more stress, especially the ones already living in America, because they were often taken into custody and interrogated even though they were innocent. The U.S. as a whole was more hostile towards their kind. They're stopped while walking, driving, in restaurants and even boarding airplanes, also a lot more places. They also have a harder time crossing the boarder for being suspected as a terrorist. That was what the Iraq war did to foreign policy.
