Pancho Villa (1878-1923)

-Born in San Juan Del Rio Mexico.

-Was a Mexican revolutionary leader because if his reading, writing and fighting skills.-His troops won the first Battle of Ciudad Juárez in 1911.

-Became the governor of Chihuahua before his death.

Jose Marti (1853-1895)

- Born in Havana Cuba

- He was sometimes called the apostle of the Cuban Revolution.

- He was famous for writing political poetry

> His most popular collection was called Versos Sencillos.

- He was very critical about Spanish rule which got him arrested, and deported to Spain.

- He got shot and killed by Spanish troops and became an inspiration to the revolutionaries around the world.

Emperor Maximilian (1832-1867)

- Born near Queretaro Mexico

- Was crowned emperor on June 10, 1864

- Believed he was the protector of the Indian Peasants.

- The French army supported him by driving Benito Juarez into Texas.

- He was executed because his liberalism was unequal to the people who put him on the throne.
