For over 20 years, Al-Qaeda has been a threat to the US. They have executed numerous acts of terror upon the US including the attack on September 11th, 2001. Taking out Osama was a major contribution on the US's behalf toward the cessation of the terrorist group. Al-Qaeda was severely effected from this loss, reducing their activity levels dramatically. Currently, the US has been dealing with a new terrorist group by the name of ISIS. It is said that the two (Al-Qaeda & ISIS) are "one in the same."
