How It Affected the World

The Vietnam War affected not only the countries involved, but the rest of the world too. It sparked protests all over the world. In France, the president was forced to resign and a new one took the former's place. After the war, much of Indochina became Communist, confirming the domino theory. The North Vietnamese army - the NVA - massacred thousands of South Vietnamese after the Americans had left. The Vietnamese had to fight wars against Cambodia and China before their independence was secured, resulting in the country being ruined. The aftermath of the war wasn't peace, it was chaos.
