Andres Bonifacio (November 30 1863- May 10, 1897) -

Often seen as the "Father of the Phillipine Revolution" Bonifacio was the Supreme leader and one of the founders of the Katipunan. His movement was based on the fight for independence against Spain and the rise of the Philippines. Seen by many as a national hero Bonifacio would create a army of 30,000 men which would later be led by Emilio Aguinaldo who became the first official president and would also order the execution of Bonifacio.

Emilio Aguinaldo (March 22nd 1869-1964) -

Aguinaldo was a military leader but was also the first president of the Philippines. He led the Philippines American War(1899-1901) Emilio also led the Philippine forces against the Spanish. His presidency ended on March 23 1901 when he was captured in Isabela, Palanan.

President Theodore Roosevelt (October 27. 1858-Jan 6, 1919) -

As the 26th president of the United States Roosevelt was big on spreading the borders of the United States. Having previously fought in the Spanish-American war Roosevelt saw the Philippines as an island with extreme potential for the navy. Along with many others Roosevelt felt as though the Philippines were not ready to govern themselves.
