The Spanish-American War

The Spanish-American War of 1898 was a conflict between Spain and the United States. This war that erupted preceded three years of fighting from the Cuban revolution to end Spanish rule in Cuba. The U.S. won the war, resulting in a peace treaty that brought Cuba their freedom and gave the United States the territories of Puerto Rico, Guam, and the Philippines.
