The United States provided loans and supplies to the allied countries Britain, France, and Russia. There were certain acts that did not permit the U.S. to give assistance to the allies; The Johnson Act of 1934 and The Neutrality Act of 1939. President Roosevelt convinced the congress to pass "Destroyers for bases" agreement and also the Lend Lease Act to help the allied countries get supplies. There were more than 50 countries that took part in world war II, and the whole world has felt it's effects. The chief battle grounds include Asia, Europe, North Africa, The Atlantic and Pacific oceans, and the Mediterranean Sea.
