The American Revolution

The American Revolution or better known as the Revolutionary War was a critical war that occurred because of the tension between the American colonist and the British over independence. This tension was growing stronger as the Parliament was passing laws that placed taxes on American colonist. Americans felt like the British couldn't understand the colonist needs because the English Parliament was in England and no one from the colonies represented them. Without this war our nation wouldn't have it's independence and would be under British control. This event relates to foreign policy because it was the beginning of countries coming together to help one another.
