The United States' involvement with Latin America in the late 1800's would change the world forever. This tyrant-ruled continent fought to have their independence and freedom to govern their own lives and economy. Their abundance of coffee plantations is what drew the United States to invest in a booming economy. Along with the production of coffee the Panama Canal was built to allow for easier, faster, and cheaper transportation. While doing this they liberated these countries from foreign dominance.
