The Vietnam War (1955-1975)

History of the War - The Vietnam War was a war of expensive and unprecedented war that was started by North Vietnam and their communist ideas against South Vietnam and the United States. This war was derived off a another ongoing War the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union. 3 million people (including over 58,000 Americans) were killed in the Vietnam War, and more than half of the dead were Vietnamese civilians. Even though this War took a big affect in Vietnam, it split us as a country with people who wanted us their, and others who wanted the troops to come back.
