Impact on the U.S.

The Gulf War affected the U.S in several ways. Most of it was financially such as, the war cost the U.S $60 billion. Also the U.S. had a toll on it's soldier count, in which the U.S lost 2,300 soldiers and 17,000 were injured. This may have been avoided if the U.S. didn't get involved, but it seems like we have a trend in getting involved in other countries matters/wars. The ending of the war led the U.S into many problems, Not only economically but physically as well. Some people in the U.S. felt they didn't need to enter into the war, and that Iraq could handle it's own matters. The energy supply was the main economic problem that effected the U.S after the war. The U.S had to spend alot of the money they had on oil supplies because the war effected the oil market and prices increased to $3.00 Per barrel (was $2.50).
