Attacks on 9/11

September 11th, 2001 was a day of terror in the United States. Militants of Al-Qaeda hijacked four airplanes from various airports. Of those four, two hit the Twin Towers of New York City, and another striking the Pentagon just a few miles away from the White House. The fourth plane was allegedly targeting the White House. It was overtaken by numerous brave passengers, crashing the plane into a field in Pennsylvania. That day, over 3,000 people were killed including 400 police officers and fire fighters. To the left are photos of the damage done by the planes.
