The Spanish-American War was A war fought between the United States and Spain in the year of 1898. It all Started from a Cubans struggle for independence from Spain. Many things played a key factor into the United States helping the Cubans regain their Independence. The war ended in the United States winning which resulted in the Treaty of Paris being Signed. The United States came out in a huge victory taking control over Guam, Puerto Rico, and the Philippines.
