The Spanish-American War was an immense conflict between the United States and Spain. This war ended the Spanish Colonial rule in the continent of America, and open up to the U.S nation acquisition of Western Pacific, and Latin American lands. The Spanish-American War became the turning point for the American Foreign Policy. A new philosophy for foreign affairs emerged as William McKinley became president, and Cuba fought for independence against Spain.
