Treaty of Versailles

The Treaty of Versailles occurred from June 28, 1919 - January 21, 1920. Woodrow Wilson, former U.S president was asked to come up with a negotiation plan for to declare peace for World War 1. He came up with the Treaty of Versailles which had 14 different points that contributed to the peace policies including the Allies demanding compensation for any damage caused to civilians due to Germany’s aggression. Negotiation among the Allied Powers with little participation by Germany. Its 15 parts and 440 articles reassigned German boundaries and unsigned liability for reparation. Part 5 reduced Germany’s armed force to very low levels and prohibited Germany from possessing certain classes of weapons.

Germany didn't have a choice when it came to the Treaty of Versailles. The allies of Germany were defeated and Germany was by their self versus the whole allied power. The German people were starving to death and the same was for their soldiers because they had no one to help get food while they were in war. The Paris Peace Conference opened on January 18,1919, and the whole goal for the treaty was to punish Germany for what they did and meet the goals of the various Allied Powers
