In January of 1918, President Woodrow Wilson gave a speech to the American Congress. During that speech he presented fourteen points in an attempt to promote peace that was lost during World War One. In his speech, Wilson stated that the world must be fit and made safe to live in. Wilson focused on countries who practiced isolationism and had the desire to live life like they wanted to as a nation.
