U.S. Involvement

The U.S. was very active during WWI, most of it pertaining to helping other countries during the war. The conference was called to establish the terms of the peace after World War I ended. Though nearly thirty nations participated, the representatives of the United Kingdom, France, the United States, and Italy became known as the “Big Four.” As one of the “Big Four”, the untied states help dominate the proceedings that led to the formulation of the Treaty of Versailles, a treaty that eventually ended World War I.
