Summary

The cause of the U.S entering WW1 was the German having unrestricted submarine welfare and continuously sinking US ships. The fourteen points proposed for the League of Nations to guarantee the “political independence and territorial

integrity of great and small states alike.” The 14 points were what President Wilson’s vision

to what the end of WW1 would be. He had many more political objectives other than the 14 points. For example, he hoped to have Russian still in war by convincing Bolsheviks that they would receive better peace from the Allies. In order to support the Treaty of Versailles, Wilson used the 14 points to end the war.

e Minister of Britain, David Lloyd George, and President Woodrow Wilson gave out a speech of what they hoped to do to claim victory over the Central Powers. The speech was given before at the house of Congress. Wilson had given this speech to get support of the U.S citizens to get into war. He also promised for just and peace among the world.
