World War 1 had the Central and Allied Power that fought against each other for several reasons such as the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, the King of Austria, that triggered a chain of events. Archduke Franz Ferdinand was shot to death with his wife by a Serbian nationalist that got Austria Hungary to declare war on Serbia with a backing of Germany. World War 1 contributes to foreign policy because the U.S went into war with other countries and allied with the Allied Power.
