The Korean War

The Korean War also known as the Cold War commenced when the North Korean communist army crossed the 38th parallel and attacked South Korea in 1950. The 38th parallel was the border between North and South Korea before the Korean War. North Korea invaded the South quickly with heavy armor. However The United States was there to aid for South Korea due to the United States view on communism and part in the UN. This is viewed as a foreign policy due to the United States ties with Korea.
