Inevitably, President James Madison declared war on Great Britain on June 19th. Keep in mind, when America challenged Great Britain, they challenged all of the empire's territories and allies, some of which were Native American tribes, who held great resent towards the USA. This would prove to be quite challenging, as the US only had about 3 notable alliances with Natives. In Baltimore, riots began to break out in protest of the war, as many citizens did were not confident that the US was capable of taking on the empire's forces again, especially in such a short period of time after the last war ended. US Military leaders were overly confident in their abilities however, as they took action against the British-controlled territory of Canada, beginning the first of three failed attempts made by the US to invade the not-yet sovereignty. The British forces maintain a decent grip on their Northern territory, and keep the US from pushing too far, going as far as fighting in areas such as what is now Michigan.
