EVENT HOSTING MONTHLY REPORT – FEBRUARY, 2021
All is copacetic in the Land of Events.
Next Monday, we’ll hold our 43rd consecutive Stayaway song circle. Average attendance has increased to approximately 20, the newest pin in our map is on Mississippi, and the quality of the musicianship and fellowship remains high. And, we’ll welcome a mystery guest on Monday (of course not – then it wouldn’t be a mystery….) Also, I’m happy to note that we have a new out-of-state member who joined because of the circle – he first came about ten weeks ago, and hasn’t missed one since.
Also, our whoopie cushions are primed and ready for Old Folkies Telling Jokies, a joke-telling Zoom circle scheduled for February 10. Many thanks to Mark and Gary for their receptiveness to the idea. I’d greatly appreciate if Board members could attend and spread the word. Thanks also to Deborah Graham for her great cartoon for the Newsletter.
With the able assistance of Chris Reimer, we’ve received a refund for last year’s Covid-cancelled July 4 picnic. And, we again have a reservation for the terrific site in Lewis Morris Park where we held the 2019 picnic.
Submitted in the spirit of the Project,
