Subject: HSNOI Report
Unfortunately, we continue to experience some knotty technical problems: The two shows we taped on August 1st are still missing in action. They were both saved to an external hard drive and the first one was uploaded from the hard drive to my laptop, where we viewed it and had to play with it to get the audio working, but both shows subsequently disappeared from the external hard drive and from my laptop. I don't even know how that is possible. (Matt had experienced with the 2nd show taped that date that the credit roll graphics were disappearing as fast as he put them in, so he saved the show to the external hard drive with the intention of going back to re-do the graphics before uploading it to my laptop, but the file was not found again.)
The first show we taped on Sept. 24 was also saved to the external hard drive, but when I try to open the file, I just get a screen of ever-changing color dots. Thankfully we did not have the same problem with the second show, which I just uploaded to Youtube and burned onto DVD. It is especially embarrassing that we have lost Kim Boyko's Sept. 24th show, because we also lost a show she taped with us about a year ago just a month or so before Cablevision's studio closed.
I emailed Don Riemer to see if he has any ideas on how to restore this show.
Taped in Sept:

She writes songs inspired by her observations of the world and how she fits (or doesn't fit) in it. Her debut EP, "Somebody Else" draws upon finding herself in other people's stories. www.KimBoyko.com
